After working several years in the fast-paced corporate world in New York City, Kristen Cannon moved back to her native Houston.  Committed to philanthropy, she devoted the next several years to volunteering for numerous non-profits throughout the city. She has chaired numerous luncheons, events and galas.   These events provided her the experience and resources needed for coordinating a stylish, sophisticated event with ease. Whether it be a corporate, speaker breakfast for 30 or a black tie gala for 400, Kristen has the knowledge to turn her clients' wishes into reality.

Since establishing The Cannon Affair, Kristen has built close relationships with vendors far and wide to provide the perfect details to all events, from invitation, décor, entertainment, flowers and more.

Additionally, Kristen is a long time member of the Junior League of Houston, Zoo Friends of Houston, Houston Ballet Guild, Salvation Army Woman’s Auxiliary Houston, Houston Symphony League and the Houston Heart Guild. She has been involved with the Kappa Alpha Theta Antique Show, serving as committee chair in various positions. She has served on the Young Friends of Ronald McDonald board as secretary, the Young Texans Against Cancer board, and is currently on the Trees For Houston steering committee.  In November of 2007, she served as the Publicity Chairman for the Bella Film Premier benefiting The Gladney Home.  Kristen has served as Chairman of The Health Museum of Houston Casino Night and Underwriting Chairman for the March of Dimes Signature Chef’s Event.
